Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy governs the use and security of all information on the Tariff Hippo platform. The intention is not to impose restrictions contrary to the established intended use of this platform. The Provider is committed to protecting the Customer, affiliates, and themselves from illegal or damaging actions, whether knowingly or unknowingly.

User Conduct and Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your conduct and data related to the Service. By using the Service, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Provider and its suppliers from any losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses related to your data, your use of the Service, or your violation of these terms. Examples include, but are not limited to:

Attempting to bypass or break security mechanisms on Tariff Hippo services.
Tampering with, testing, reverse-engineering, or hacking Tariff Hippo Services.
Modifying, disabling, or compromising the integrity or performance of the services or related systems.
Deciphering transmissions to or from the servers running the services.
Launching or facilitating a denial of service attack on the Tariff Hippo platform or any other conduct adversely impacting service availability, reliability, or stability.
Transmitting materials containing viruses, trojan horses, worms, or other malicious programs.
Overwhelming infrastructure by imposing an unreasonably large load on systems.
Using Tariff Hippo services for fraudulent activity.
Encouraging or promoting any activity prohibited under the Acceptable Use Policy.
Compromising the integrity of systems by probing, scanning, or testing vulnerabilities.

Specific Restrictions

Use within Commercial Global Trade: The Software and Service are available only for use within commercial global trade, complying with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations without infringing or violating third-party rights.
Unauthorized Use: Any unauthorized use of Tariff Hippo Service violates this Agreement and certain Federal and Provincial laws, subjecting the user to civil or criminal penalties.
Residency Restrictions: Tariff Hippo platform is not available for use by residents of Quebec.
Temporary Access: Access to systems is permitted on a temporary basis, and the Provider reserves the right to withdraw or amend the service without notice.
